Now you need to organize the information into a Business Plan for your company. Business Plan Overview A well thought-out business plan can make the difference between success and failure. It should lay out a series of steps and projections with the intent of starting your business from ground zero, and then leading it to the point of profitability. But a Business Plan doesn't end there. It should be modified and expanded to keep you focused and on track to financial success. It should be continually updated to reflect new goals as well as changes in your business. Essentially, it becomes the governing document from the day you open your doors until the day that you close them. Business Plan Objectives For Startup Purposes, your plan should identify a series of realistic goals and objectives centered around the following: Where You Want To Go. How You Plan To Get There. What You Will Produce. Who You Will Sell It To. In addition it should contain financial data that gives an estimate of what it will take to startup and run the business in the manner outlined by the plan.
