63 Chapter 4 Getting the Most Out of the Machine 4 The laser crosshair marker provides a cross-shaped laser illuminated area on the fabric, which indicates the position the needle will fall. When lighted, the laser crosshair marker makes it easy to adjust positioning when the frame is moved, such as when moving the frame to a position to be embroidered. 1. Tap . (Example: In the case of the Manual Frame Position Setting screen) The Color Change screen is displayed. 2. Tap . The needle bar case moves to the position of the laser crosshair marker. The laser crosshair marker lights up, and the place where the needle will fall is shown in the crosshairs. 3. To turn off the laser crosshair marker, move the needle bar case using in the Color Change screen. 4.11 Using the laser crosshair marker The laser crosshair marker can be lighted from the Home screen, the Ready to Embroider screen and in the Embroidery Paused screen. "1.2 Home screen", "3.2.7 Starting the embroidery", "3.2.8 Pausing the machine" If the frame is brought out while thread is still attached to the fabric, the thread could go slack. And, in such cases, when the embroidery is restarted, the slack in the thread could stick out from the fabric. Please trim the thread manually beforehand to prevent this. "4.10.3 Trimming the thread manually" Caution Keep hands away from the area surrounding the needle bar case. Otherwise, there is a risk of injury due to the movement of the needle bar case.
