With the Type 1 Series, the larger cylinder lim-
ited the stitch area, and added maintenance
time due to the a variety of factors.
The Tajima slim cylinder needle plate has a
shorter distance between the needle hole and
the edge of the needle plate which allows for an
increased embroidery area on many items. Easy
removal makes maintenance a simple task.
Tajima's Slim Cylinder makes it possible to
embroider on smaller objects. Socks, gloves,
and pockets are no longer a struggle. The
Slim Cylinder is 12mm narrower than a
standard size cylinder.
The former needle plate, with two top screws,
allowed for more setup and breakdown time,
slowing production and maintenance.
