Rent/Mortgage - Real estate only. Telephone – This would include local charges, long distance charges, and cell phone as well. Utilities - Water, heat, light and/or power Insurance – Include coverage on business property and products (fire, liability) also worker's compensation, fidelity, etc. Do not include health, life, etc if these were included under Payroll Expense. Taxes - Include inventory tax, sales tax, excise tax, etc. Do not include payroll taxes if they were included under Payroll Expense. Loan Payments - Include payment on all loans, including vehicle and equipment purchases on time payment. Do not include mortgage if it was included in Rent/Mortgage. Interest - Remember to add interest on a loan as it is injected. However, in many cases interest is not a separate charge and is already included in loan repayments. Do not include it here, unless it has not been included elsewhere. Reserve/Escrow - Example: insurance, tax or equipment escrow to reduce impact of large periodic payments. Owner's Withdrawals - Should include payment for such things as owner's income tax, social security, health insurance, executive life insurance premiums, etc., as well as salary, unless salary was covered under a different category. Other Start-up Costs - Expenses incurred prior to first month projections and paid for after start-up. Other Expenses – Identify and list as needed. Cash Position (end of month) – This is the amount of cash on hand at the end of the month after all cash receipts have been received and all expenditures paid.
