Should You Tackle Digitizing? Embroidery Digitizing takes a lot of time and patience to learn, and can be quite overwhelming at first. It's hard to become an accomplished Digitizer without first being an Embroidery Machine Operator. You should focus on mastering the variables involved in the sewing process, before you tackle digitizing. If you choose to purchase digitizing software with your machine, then stick with the simple designs at first and contract out the more complex ones. There are plenty of first-rate Digitizing Companies available to fill your needs. It will take time and practice to become a proficient digitizer. With the wide variety of ready-to-sew stock designs available on the market, you have many options for creating logo's without having to digitize. By simply combining a stock design(s) with keyboard lettering you can create a wide variety of custom designs. The end result is versatility and creativity at a very low cost. NOTE: Digitizing is discussed in more detail in a later chapter. www.hsi.us care@hsi.us 25
