Creating and Editing New Designs 45 Properties of Text Objects When some Text is selected, you will see that there are a number of settings that you can use to add interesting effects to your text objects. For example, you can change Lettering height, font, and style (i.e. normal, italic, or bold); you can also add effects to your text, such as stroke, drop shadow, gradient overlay and warp. The sections that follow give a guide to the text properties that can be modified on the text tab. Font To change the font of a text object: 1) Select the text with the Select tool. 2) Click the down-arrow to the right of the font field to view the list of available fonts. 3) Click on the desired font to select it. 4) Click the Apply button to apply the chosen font to the text object. The text's font will change to the desired font. Font Preview The font preview allows you to get a quick idea of the appearance of all the Autograph fonts, before actually applying the font to the design. To use font preview, set the checkbox to the left of the font field. Then move the mouse and hover over the name of a font in the list (do not click), so that it is highlighted. Autograph will display a 'pop-up' preview image of that font the workspace. To preview more fonts, just move the mouse pointer up and down the list of fonts. The text object must be selected first, before its properties will appear on the Start Tab.
