47 Chapter 4 Getting the Most Out of the Machine 4 Designs from the dedicated design creation software or a separately available DG product on a PC can be loaded into the machine after it has been connected to the PC using a LAN cable. 1. Turn off the machine's power switch. 2. Connect the LAN cable to the PC's LAN port, or to the LAN port on the router or hub. 3. Connect the LAN cable to the LAN port on the right side of the machine. 4. Start up the PC, and then start up the design creation software. 5. Turn on the machine's power switch. 6. Tap on the Home screen. The Design Load screen is displayed. 7. Using the design creation software, send the design to the machine. For information on how to use the design creation software, refer to the manual for the design creation software. 4.4 Loading a design from a PC using a LAN cable If you want to directly connect the PC to the machine, you will need to prepare a commercially available cross-cable. If connecting the machine to a network (router or hub), prepare a commercially available straight cable. Network information for the machine needs to be set beforehand.
