Use the brush to clean away any dust or waste thread from places where the upper thread passes. 8.2.2 Lubrication The places shown below must be oiled on a routine basis. Places to oil Frequency Supplied accessories used Rotary hook race With each use Oil All needle bars and felt inside needle bar case Once a week Flat head screwdriver (2.5 × 75) Oil Moving parts in arm Once a year Phillips screwdriver (6 × 100) Oil Caution Switch power off before beginning the task. For lubrication, use either the supplied oil (TF) or commercially available sewing machine oil. Use of any other oil may lead to malfunction. Do not apply too much oil. When there is too much oil, it can splatter and get the fabric or thread dirty and cause stains. If too much oil has been applied, use a cloth or the like to wipe it away.
