74 Chapter 6 Setting the Machine 6 Whenever you change to a different type of frame, the frame origin needs to be memorized in the machine. The "frame origin" refers to the absolute coordinate values (X: 0.0, Y: 0.0) that are used for reference when calculating the current position of the frame. If the frame origin is incorrect, not only will the following problems occur, the needle or presser foot may also come into contact with the frame during embroidery, causing damage as a result. • The frame coordinates are not displayed correctly. • Discrepancies occur with regard to the permissible range of movement for the frame. "6.2.4 Setting the permissible range of movement for the frame" 1. Tap on the Home screen. The Setting screen is displayed. 2. Tap . The Frame Setting screen is displayed. 3. Tap . A confirmation message is displayed. 6.2.2 Memorizing the frame origin Caution Do not place hands or anything else near the frame when any of the following are being carried out. Otherwise, there is a risk of injury due to the movement of the frame.
