59 Chapter 4 Getting the Most Out of the Machine 4 The frame can be returned or advanced according to the design data. This feature comes in handy in the following situations. • When you want to do some repair stitching after the thread has broken, and you want to restart the embroidery from the position before the thread broke. • When you want to start embroidering from a place or step partway through the design. • When you want to skip embroidery of a place or step partway through the design. 1. Move the frame by tapping the icons below while in the Paused screen or the Embroidery Start screen. • To go back 1 step: • To go back 100 stitches at a time: • To go back 10 stitches at a time: • To go back 1 stitch at a time: • To go forward 1 stitch at a time: • To go forward 10 stitches at a time: • To go forward 100 stitches at a time: Example of use for repair sewing after thread breaks After the thread breaks, if you restart from a position where the stitches overlap slightly, the resulting product will look better. 1. Tap , and return the frame to a position where two or three stitches can overlap a place where the sewing was all right. With each tap of , the frame returns by one stitch. 2. Press the [START] button on the operation panel. The embroidery resumes from the position at which the frame was returned. 4.9 Returning frame/advancing frame according to design Caution Keep hands away from the area surrounding the frame. Otherwise, there is a risk of injury due to the movement of the frame. The frame can be returned one stitch at a time by pressing the [STOP] button on the operation panel while embroidery is paused. If you press and hold the [STOP] button, the frame will consecutively return, one stitch at a time. If , , or is tapped on the Embroidery Start screen, a screen asking you to confirm that you want to move the frame is displayed. Tap [YES].
