5 Important Safety Instructions If smoke, strange odors, or abnormal sounds are emitted Switch OFF the power switch, and pull out the plug of the power cord from the outlet. Then contact your sales dealer. To prevent fire, electrical shock, and malfunctions In each of the following situations, switch OFF the power switch, and pull out the plug of the power cord from the outlet. Otherwise, there is a risk of fire, electrical shock, or malfunction. - After using the machine - When not intending to use the machine for a long period of time - After a power outage has occurred while the machine was being used - Before performing maintenance on the machine - Before leaving the room in which the machine is located - When thunder is heard Handle the power cord, power adapter, and power plugs carefully Make sure to observe the following. Fire or electrical shock may result from improper handling. - Use only the supplied power cord and power adapter. - Avoid damaging the power cord, all other wiring and cords, and the power adapter. Do not modify, heat, bundle, or apply undue force (pull on or twist) to these parts. - Plug in the power plug securely so it is inserted all the way. - Never plug in or unplug the power plug with wet hands - Immediately stop using the machine if the power cord is damaged, has exposed wires, or has broken wires; then, replace the power cord with a new one. Be sure to use a power supply of the correct voltage Do not use the machine with supply voltages that are different from what is indicated. Avoid using outlets that are shared by multiple devices. Be careful so as to not allow any water, chemicals, etc., to get into the machine Do not allow any water or chemicals to get into the electrical portions of the machine. This can cause short circuits in the circuitry, which can lead to fire or electrical shock. If water or chemicals have entered the machine, switch OFF the power switch, and unplug the power plug from the outlet. Then, contact your sales dealer.
