Connecting Cables Connecting a USB 2.0 interface cable Use a USB 2.0 interface cable to connect the machine to a computer. USB interface precautions When connecting more than one TxF150,TxF300 to a computer When more than one TxF150,TxF300 is connected to a computer, the computer may not recognize the machines correctly. If the computer has multiple USB ports, try connecting the machines to different USB ports and confirm that they are recognized correctly. If a TxF150,TxF300 is still not recognized after you switch USB ports, try using a commercially available USB extension cable. USB High Speed peripherals Using the machine with peripherals that operate in USB High Speed mode (such as USB flash drives or USB hard drives) may prevent the computer from recognizing the USB devices. It may take longer to send print data when the machine is connected to a computer that is also connected to an USB hard drive or similar peripheral. Thus, this may cause the carriage to pause at the left or right end during printing. • When the machine is not in use, raise the clamp lever to separate the pinch rollers from the grit rollers. Leaving the pinch rollers in the lowered position for an extended period of time may cause the pinch rollers to become deformed. Deformation of the pinch rollers may prevent the media from being fed correctly. • When using the machine, the clamps should be raised where the pinch roller and grit roller directly contact each other. Grit roller Pinch roller Push the lever in to raise the clamp. lever Pull the clamp lever to return it to the original position. • If your computer does not have a USB port, contact a local RIP provider or our service office for assistance. • Your RIP must be compatible with USB 2.0.
