3-18 Chapter 3 Settings Setting nozzle checking during printing Set to ON to check nozzles when the printer is online and about to begin printing. 1 With the screen in local mode, select [MENU] > [NOZZLE CHECK], and then press the [ENTER] key. • The nozzle check menu is displayed. 2 Select [Printing Check] > [ON], and then press the [ENTER] key. • To disable this nozzle checking, select [OFF]. 3 Select [Check Interval] and press the [ENTER] key. 4 Select a setting item and press the [ENTER] key. • LENGTH: Checks nozzles after the machine has fed the specified length of media. • FILE: Checks nozzles after the number of files printed reaches the specified value. 5 Select a setting value and press the [ENTER] key. • Setting values vary depending on whether you have selected [Length] or [File] above. • LENGTH: 0.1–50 m • FILE: 1–100 files 6 Select [Action] > [CLEANING], and then press the [ENTER] key. 7 Select the type of cleaning, and then press the [ENTER] key. • Setting value: SOFT / NORMAL / HARD 8 Select [Action] > [RETRY COUNT], and then press the [ENTER] key. • Setting value: 0–3 times Setting auto nozzle recovery Set to perform automatic nozzle recovery if nozzle clogging is detected. 1 With the screen in local mode, select [MENU] > [NOZZLE CHECK], and then press the [ENTER] key. • The nozzle check menu is displayed. 2 Select [AUTO NOZZLE RECOVERY] and press the [ENTER] key. 3 Select a setting value and press the [ENTER] key. • Setting value: ON / OFF Setting judgment conditions Set the conditions that determine nozzle clogging. 1 With the screen in local mode, select [MENU] > [NOZZLE CHECK], and then press the [ENTER] key. • The nozzle check menu is displayed. 2 Select [Judgment Condition] and press the [ENTER] key. 3 Press the [ENTER] key to select a color. 4 Select the number of nozzles that determines the judgment, and then press the [ENTER] key.
