Chapter 1 Before Use 1-12 Ink cartridge lamps The lamps above ink cartridges indicate the status of the loaded cartridges. Machine restrictions The ink expiration date is indicated on the ink pack. Expired ink may cause ejection failures or alter the color tone. Printing is possible even if the ink has passed its expiration date. Nevertheless, we recommend replacing with new ink or using up as quickly as possible. Example: When the expiration date is April May: Replace with new ink or use up as soon as possible. Printing is possible. June (lamp lit in yellow): Replace with new ink or use up as soon as possible. Printing is possible. July (lamp flashing red): Printing is not possible. Replacing Ink Removing the Ink cartridge 1 Remove the ink cartridge. Replacing Ink Pack 1 Press the case tab with a finger to open the lid. 2 Remove the old ink pack. 3 Place a new ink pack inside the ink cartridge case. • Push the ink pack connector into the ink cartridge case slot with the double-sided tape attached side Lamp status Description Lit in green Normal (ink is being supplied) Off No error Lit or flashing in yellow One of the following errors has occurred: • Ink near end • Ink end • Ink expired (1 month past) Flashing red Ink expired (2 months past) Lit in red One of the following errors has occurred: • No ink cartridge inserted • Other ink errors ( P.5-5 [Ink errors]) Flashing green Circulating operation is in progress. Never remove the cartridge. • The message appears on the display. Cartridge lamps [TxF150-75] Cartridge lamps [TxF300-75] • When replacing with a new 600 ml ink cartridge case, register the case weight. ( P.3-9 [Replacing with a New Ink Cartridge]) • When replacing with a new ink pack, the cartridge weight does not need to be entered. ( P.3- 10 [Correcting the Ink Cartridge Case Weight]) • When disposing of the product, contact an industrial waste disposal operator or dispose of the product in accordance with the local laws and regulations.
