1-14 Chapter 1 Before Use Menu Mode The machine has four modes. Each menu mode is described below. Not-Ready mode The machine is in this mode before detection of media. Local mode In this mode, the machine is ready to print. All keys are available. The machine can receive data from a computer. The following operations are available in local mode: • Pressing the jog keys to set the print origin and print area. • Checking remaining ink levels, cartridge error details, the model name, firmware version, and so on by pressing the [Enter] key. Menu mode To enter menu mode, press the [FUNC1] key in local mode. This mode enables you to set each function. Remote mode In this mode, the machine prints data it receives. width:810mm REMOTE MENU PRE PRINT TEST PRINT CLEANING POST LOCAL 30�/40� 30�/35� 40�/50� W W W W Screen display in local mode Shows the detected media width. Shows the detected ink levels (approximate). Shows the current heater temperature. Icon color above the temperature varies depending on the current heater status. Orange: Temperature rising Green: At the specified temperature Gray: Heater off Shows the functions assigned to function keys [FUNC1]–[FUNC3]. [SEL] key Function keys [FUNC1]–[FUNC3] Press the [SEL] key to switch functions.
